Hi all,
Since nobody seems interested in the green fury, I’ll guess I’ll rebuild the tranny. Should I replace the torque converter while doing the transmission or reuse it. Thank you.

Re-use it ONLY after flushing it. Same with the trans cooler and lines.

Make sure you check the stator. If it free wheels get a new converter.

hey charlie...are you going to try to rebuild this yourself or have it done? if someone else is building it not changing the converter would be one more excuse for them to not guarantee the unit...back in the day Myles Martin was the go-to place for rebuilt stock converters on LI and they were cheap enough at the time...no clue if they are even still around...at the very least shops drain the converter and flush it out with solvent...if they didnt have drainplugs they would drill a hole then weld them back up when they were done
