Perhaps the lights were added after someone was rear ended in this car or another giving additional lighting for those that were behind themHard to believe that they never changed a hose on that motor, but added aftermarket tail lights! Lol
Not until you replace the rear shocks and springs. Even to my eyes, she sits too low in the back.Love it! I could see me driving that. Load up 3 other buddies, fill the trunk with luggage and head for The Nats or Carlisle.
I don't think Chrysler went as far as GM did with low-mounted tail lights in this era before the CHMSL. Consider the mid-size wagons GM produced in the '70s and '80s:giving additional lighting
We had a 73 Dodge Dart with the tail lights mounted low in the bumper. Since we drove primarily in the snowy upper peninsula of Michigan, my dad was concerned that they would get obscured - covered with snow, so he wanted to add two huge red brake lights on the package tray. I talked him out of it.Perhaps the lights were added after someone was rear ended in this car or another giving additional lighting for those that were behind them
Or upper level lights if you will. I would have put one in the back window if it were me. Better than drilling holes in the top of the quarters.Thoughts... the add-on tail lights are reminiscent of 55-56 Imperials. Maybe a car the owner had before this one? Beauty is in the eye of the beer holder as we all can attest. The air cleaner looks big for a 2 barrel and can anyone explain the headlamp washer option?View attachment 440258
