Anyone have any experiences to share with having their rim blow steering wheel restored? While I'm repairing my tilt/telescopic column, I thought I might as well send off my steering wheel for restoration.

In an internet search, I found these:

Thanks for any input, suggestions, experiences, or help!

I was a little bit hesitant about clicking on a link about rim blow buddies...I wasn't sure if was ready for what I might see but it's all good.Just some steering wheels.Curious as well if anyone's used his services.

The feminists would go nuts about the steering wheel's name.

I had my '70 rimblow wheel restored by David Tays, in Greensburg, IN (woodgrainwheels.com) some years ago.
Good job, great customer service, and seems to be recommended on many boards.

Buttercup, my 1972 NYB, has a steering wheel in need of restoration. The horn does not work, and there is a crack covered by masking tape. It is the worst part of the interior.

Whom did you end up selecting to restore your rim-blow wheel? What was your experience?

I have seen your pictures of the steering wheel after restoration, do you have picture before you sent it out for repairs? What was needed?
