Is it difficult to change the pinion seal in a 742 differential? Does it require a crush adjustment on reinstall? Any other advice? Thanks.

742 rear end does not have a crush adjustment. Remove the yoke and then the old seal. Replace the seal and re-install the yoke. Torque to factory specs and you are done. Oil the yoke sealing surface liberally before you re-install it.

However, be careful when you remove it. If you drop it and it hits you, the yoke will be on you.
