I was hauling a junk 79 Pontiac bonneville coupe from a old barn.
Owner said I could have the barn also.
It’s all redwood in good condition
Barn is probably 80-100 years old ?
Some 24 foot lengths.
4x4 2x4 1x6 2x8
Ruff saw cut
I don’t know much about wood salvage, but I think it would be worthwhile? A lot of work though.
Anybody could clue me in to what this wood might go for?
I think there’s enough to maybe build me a old time barn shop?

If you had a place for it the best thing would be to label, disassemble and reassemble it.
Redwood is long, straight, knot-free, naturally insect repellent and will resist rot for a long time. Other alternatives would be deck/patio, pergola, patio furniture etc..

I have to imagine it's worth the effort to reclaim, even if done as a middle man finding someone to buy you out of the rights to it

That wood is probably good for decorative use only. Barn wood, distressed wood, etc is in high demand, especially for winery clients up in your area. Could use it as siding, wall finishes, etc....

To the neophytes that get overly excited over shyte pallet wood, this would be gold.

That Pontiac is a rare 2-door model. I don't think I've ever seen one of those in a coupe version. Save it!

My second car was a 78 Bonneville 2 door. It was brown with a tan top an vinyl interior. My friends nicknamed it the "Big Ugly". 301 cu inch V8 and a two barrel. What a pig. I was happy to see it go. Sold it for a heck of a profit.

That is a good chunk of cash in wood. Good clear wood with tight grain. Take a walk through a couple lumber yards see what fast growth cedar and pine go for today.

There is a local wood salvage yard that specializes in vintage barn wood. When you buy from them they are VERY $$$ expensive and nice to you!
When you bring them wood to sell they are VERY rude and treat you like junkie looking to score $20 for a bag of dope!
It’s all arrow straight redwood with little to no rot anywhere. Lots of nails!!! When done I will have quite a pile of vintage useful redwood.

I have purchased several barns over the years. Mostly used for interior decorating. Bringing the barn to the inside of a custom home. I paid around 15K for my last barn delivered out of Illinois IIRC.
Your wood species is Redwood and not near as common as the 4 pine barn's that I have been involved with.
24' long boards are not as common in the rest of America. Those could bring some coin in themselves for decorative walls. Depending on how they come out.
The difficult part of this is going to be finding the correct market and buyers. Big money in old barns.

Keep in mind that people in Aspen and Jackson Hole like to play like they are in "rugged" "difficult" times with their barn fancies. Pretty funny stuff, but I've built several and ended up "kinda" liking them.

Score in my book.
