When I got the Admiral, (69 Fury Custom Suburban), the 2 speed wipers worked but would not park.
I removed the cowl screen to investigate and found these parts in the well under the wiper arm. (see pic's).
I was able to figure out how they went together, installed the assy on my wiper shaft and reattached the arms...... Wipers now parked.... Cool.
But after not to many cycles of the wipers the clip comes loose and disengages from the motor shaft.... wipers quit. I've put it back together three times now with the same results. I've cleaned, lubed and aligned everything, no luck.
It looks like there should be two dogs on the cast piece that are broken off.
Has anyone messed with one of these things........ Or better yet, have one....? It's unique to the 2 speed wiper system.
