This fan (top 2 photos) came off my 69 Dodge Polara with 318. As I bought it, it had a lot of aftermarket parts under the hood…chrome valve covers, round chrome air cleaner, stainless braids on all the hoses etc etc. I have a good suspicion this fan is aftermarket too. Can you guys confirm?

I have a 7 blade fan (bottom 2 photos) which I think is an original mopar option…I’d like to put it in its place but it interferes with the 3 belt crank pulley at bottom. I took the A/C off…don’t need the 3 belt pulley anymore. Also can someone confirm if I was able to find a 2 belt crank pulley for my 318, perhaps my 7 blade fan would fit? Thanks, Bob

Top is a genuine Chrysler fan with a replacement (Auto Zone etc.) fan clutch.

Since we established your car had A/C, that would be the correct type fan.

I would leave the clutch fan on. Robs less horsepower, quieter etc. If the clutch is good, it will cool as well (maybe better) than the fixed blade.

You would need the right fan spacer to make the fixed one work.

The genuine Chrysler fan with the clutch is your best option just as Big_John said previously. I know a few street rod guys that use that set up because it is the best at keeping their engines cool without having to resort to an electric fan. Plus you don't want the headache of trying to find the right pulley combination that works. Just my 2 cents worth.

Thanks guys. Your advice is much appreciated. The easier option is the best option…that doesn’t happen too often.
