Seen this shared by a friend on Facebook, makes you wonder. They supposedly are just clearing out slow moving product, but.... I mean read through the list, I have a hard time believing these are all slow movers....

    Discontinued Mopar

So what is to come in the future of the hobby? This makes me seriously second guess my decision to purchase a basket case road runner....

I would say "damn," but not a single thing there is for a C Body that I saw, so I won't be missing anything.

For me I look at it like this, if they aren't selling A/B and E body stuff, they'll never even think about doing C body stuff...

Not that they even are willing to give us a second thought now..

I did not see much on that list to cause concern. The fastback Barracuda drip rail mouldings were of some interest.

    I'm not really surprised.

If you think about it, there's a lot of factors... First, there's just so many cars left out there. Most of the ones worth restoring are done. Next there's the graying of the hobby. The guys that own these cars aren't getting any younger and they aren't doing any restorations. Then there's the movement to the metric cars. It's getting so that I see more new Challengers and Mustangs at the cruises.

Most likely the AMD owners are headed towards retirement too. Time to cut back on the warehouse stock and do some downsizing or at least make it look more profitable for a sale. We've seen other suppliers being sold in the past few years, so I expect AMD is probably headed the same way.

Of course, that is all just my opinion... It may just be that AMD is just not going to stock the stuff that doesn't sell.

If you need A body stuff that looks like the re might be now.
I need 68 charger full 1/4s could use a front fender also but 800 for the fender is steep. Of course I have been looking for years and missed 2 LH, pass fenders are everywhere.

I'm just assuming that the car needs them, if prefer a full quarter, I think I know what I'll be doing at work tonight.

Sale is over. That didn’t last long. They said their phones blew up. Stopped the sale.

I guess some folks got their attention. Maybe they will think twice about cutting production back.

I wouldn't care if they offered a sale to clear out some inventory, rather than have to move it, but to say it's discontinued and then jack the price back up mere hours later seems awful bait and switchy.

Perhaps, it's just one those 50% off a 150% of retail sales.

Perhaps they just over-estimated the need for the parts they had built?

When I was getting their new product emails, it seemed that ALL of the new stuff was for mid-60s Fairlanes (like deck lid/quarter panel gutters) and no Chrysler stuff of any kind.

Typically, we're conditioned to perceive that these "closeout sales" as "the end", when they might be, but probably are more like the cyclical inventory adjustment activities. As always, sales can mean "buying opportunities" regardless of the reason for them.

    Just some thoughts,
    CBODY67

The e-mail from them stated the parts were being discontinued & would not be brought back.

They never really supported '66-'67 B-bodies at all, either.

I had always wondered why they did not support 66,67 b bodies? It seems to me that they would have been demanded more any other years?
