An Imperial at a crime scene...

Saw this on the news in OKC. A guy was killed in front of his home this evening, August 7. Part of the news piece shows the back of a maroon '63 Imperial Crown hardtop. The cops haven't released the name of the victim. The car is apparently under the victims' carport. Just struck me odd, seeing this car like that in a news story. I've never seen the car before. Sad story.

"Police on the scene told News 9 they were investigating a homicide. The victim was identified Thursday as Kent Potter. Police have not disclosed what kind of fatal injuries were suffered by Potter."

Odd that they're investigating as a homicide but the guy that ran him over was allowed to leave the scene after calling 911 and waiting for and talking to the police. This article says he had begun collecting classic cars recently.
