With auto dollies, are you able to easily push a car around in a garage with a nice concrete floor? I've been trying to sell my car because it can hardly fit in the garage, and has to be pushed all the way against the wall so I can't back it out or open the hood. If I could easily move it around, I might keep it. If the answer is yes, is it still yes for cheap harbor freight dollies like the ones linked to below? thx.

I have four of those that I use for my '65 Barracuda. They work well for that car, but I've never tried them on a C-Body.

A caveat here. They will work for a C-body, but your floor must be clean. The other issue is that the casters don't always change direction easily, which can make it a pain in the butt to move the car away from the wall. I find it is fine to put the car against the wall for the winter, but wouldn't want to move it around on a regular basis.

I have them under my GT parts car. It rolls easily, make sure the tires are centered on the dollies. Like 300rag said, your floor must be clean. A 1/4-20 nut will stop it like a wheel chock.

I have a set but never had a c body on them, just a b body. They should work fine moving around c body.
Now using these, also from HF, on the b body.

Mine look like this. The downside to these is how high you have to lift the car to get them under the tires, due to the reinforcing bar on the sides.

DO get the ones with the smooth, semi-circular section that the tires sit on! IF you desire to drive the car later, it'll save the tires from taking "a set" to the other styles which put two pressure points on the tire tread . . . even ruining them if inflation pressures might decrease. Might be a good idea to put the tire pressure up to 32psi, for good measure.

Other than the shape, it's the casters that make the product. Steel can work best, but if you can't find them, you can always change the casters later on. Floor condition is important. Might be best to put the dollies on only two of the wheels rather than all four. This way, you can put a jack under the other axle to better move the car or position it, I believe. Just remember to have sufficient room for maneuvering and jockeying the car into position.

Just some thoughts,

These are the same ones I had, bought them at Princess Auto. They were great, I could move the Fury very easily.
I have the same ones too. I bought mine through horrible freight and i thought they worked well. Sadly i have one of them being held up as i have a 383 resting on it. Works great for that to by the way.
