Due to the server crash, this thread was lost. Please respond again if you responded before and are willing. Jer's family and friends are aware of the thread's presence. If the original thread is recovered, the mods may combine both into one for us. Thank you.

Jer is on the right, picture courtesy of @Samplingman

Jer was the first FCBO member to reach out to me when I joined, and I know he has connected with many members who never had the pleasure of meeting him.

I spoke with Tony, Jer's friend who brought him to Carlisle this year, who said that Jer "came alive" as soon as they entered the fairgrounds each day. Jer loved to be there and visit with as many of his "car buddys" as he could.

Thank you Tony for making his last Carlisle possible, and I know he loved being chauffeured around in your 300F!

I had the good fortune of being Jer's roommate at Carlisle in 2017. He graciously tried to include me in all of his activities and I met a bunch more folks than I could ever remember to mention properly. Jer was a very popular part of the Mopar world. During that trip I also had the privilege to spend time with Tony and Tom. This year Will @bluefury361 and I were able to enjoy a meal with Tony and Tom as well, unfortunately Jer had opted out of dinner that day.

Jer, Tony and Tom were always a hoot to be around as they cut up like any good car guys should, and they did it better than most. Thank you Tony for sharing.

I've been fortunate to have known Jer for many years and shared many "questionable" stories, as well as beers, with him. I was able to share some quality time with him this past July at Carlisle. I'll always be happy for that as he was in great spirits there and that's how I will remember him.
A car guy to the end..... Rest well my friend. :(

Sad to hear, I have got to know Jer over the years. Communicated with him outside of this forum on different things. He will be missed.
Keep the hammer down driver.

While I've never been blessed with acquaintance with this worthy soul, I will pray for him, and for many others who shine with virtues no longer too common that I've seen here.

Requiem In Pace, Jer

I never had the opportunity to meet him, but was looking forward to doing so at Carlisle one year. I did chat with him once though. An interesting man with lots of stories. RIP, Jer!

Although I never had the pleasure of meeting him, we did share some posts and I always "listened up" when he posted. He will be missed.

I wish to express my sympathy to Jer's family. When we lose a member of "the Old Guard", we lose so much knowledge and wisdom that cannot be replaced. It also places a greater responsibility on those of us who remain. Lindsay

So sorry to hear this. Jer waz one uv a kind and will be missed by many. Here's my story ov my first encounter with him. I had posted that I was going to Carlisle for the first time. Jer messaged me and asked for my address so he could send me something. A few days later I received an envelope from him with a detailed hand drawn map of the whole Carlisle area. Showing the fairgrounds, eating places and hotels. At the time he didn't know me from Adam yet spent time and effort to make my first Carlisle experience enjoyable. RIP Jer!

never had a chance to meet Jer in person, but we traded a few PMs as folks with Michigan residency in our past. He helped me tremendously/unselfishly with advice on diesel/HD truck mechanicals/performance when I was looking for the bus.

An asset to the hobby. His wisdom and input will be missed.

My condolences to his family and friends as you (we) try to adjust to Jer's transition to a higher plane.

The second year I took the NYer to Carlisle the kids and i went to dinner with a group of folks. On the way back it broke down in a tool booth. At about 80 he helped to push that big boost out of the way so that we could wait for the flat bed to come. He treated the kids like they were his grandkids. What a guy. I missed getting to talk to him in July. I do have a picture somewhere of him getting in the 300F.

It is very sad to hear that Jer has passed away.
Unfortunately, I only had a few short but interesting conversations with him on this board and I always wondered what personality is behind the avatar and the unusual spelling.
Thanks for the pictures of Jer, which show him in a funny atmosphere with his friends. And that is the most important thing, the good friends we have made through our car hobby.

I would like to express my condolences to his family and friends.
RIP Jer

Though I never talked to Jer directly, I've read many a post on the forum and they sure reflected his big personality. Rest in peace.
