Wanted to install my electric fan and thermostat today but I couldnt get one of the blank plugs out of the manifold. Its like they are welded in place, is there an easy trick to get them out other than drilling? Maybe put dry ice on them? Frustrating, should have taken 30mins and now this....

You could douse it with PB blaster and let it set, and also try putting an old socket extension in it and giving it a rap or two. I assume countersunk one if not hit the head dead blow a few times with a 2 lb hammer but make it square on the top, don't bugger the area you have to get on

Heat also works

Well, got the sucker out. Dremel and dentist work did the job. Pb blaster did nothing, dry-icing the plug did nothing...well, got my fan and such installed. Thank you for the help!
