Hi All,
Where is the blower motor resistor located in a 76 NYB?
It's NOT an auto-temp system.
I still get all the speeds, but the switch gets VERY hot!!!!!
Thanks
Mark

The resistor is not likely to cause the switch to run hot, the resistors go open when they fail and you will lose one or more speeds. You need to run a load test on the heater blower motor, odds are it is shorted and causing an excessive amperage draw. The other possibility is that the switch contacts are corroded and the extra resistance is causing the switch to heat up. The resistor unit is usually located under the dash, usually behind the glove box, it will be attached to the housing for the heater/AC assembly.

FYI, the resistor block is on the airbox under the dash facing the passenger compartment around about the center.
