Looks like some police agency just parked them in the desert because they did not figure they would be worth running to an auction, likely because they did not still run. From the gas shortage in '73 onward to about the mid 80's, tired big police cruisers were not worth much. I bought several for parts and I could have had as many as I wanted at $600 ea. These in the photo have probably been sitting out there for 30+ years but they look to be in solid rust free condition. Would make good projects for someone. I suspect that the state or which ever agency discarded these cruisers probably has also lost the paperwork by now, so getting a title might be a PIA.
