Hey all,

I'm looking for this tool for my 1964 Newport steering gear rebuild. Before I cobble something together I thought I'd see if someone has one sitting in a box somewhere. It's a large (3.75") spanner socket, similar to some 4WD hub sockets.

I'm located in Metro Detroit but happy to have it shipped.

That nut was the worst to get off when I rebuilt mine. It was not as simple as taking a hammer and punch to the ears. If I recall correctly I ended up using a chain style oil filter wrench and some great big water pump pliers.
Next time I would make a tool out of pipe or try to find the right one.

Yeah I took a hammer and drift to the other nut and after like two taps of the hammer I NOPED my way right to eBay and was able to find that socket, just can't find the one for the steering column side. I have a hook style spanner wrench that I'll try to put some oomph into but welding key stock to the right diameter pipe is my backup plan.
