Can Dart take on Dimorphos?

Saw that in the SCI channel yesterday. Hit a rock a million miles away that was orbiting another rock. Hit that ***** straight on with good last second closeups. I know 14K mph is fast but it seems kinda wimpy. Not dart like at all, They should of aimed that Tesla at that asteroid. Or send up a rusty Challenger and remake the Vanishing Point scene.

7 million miles away with Dart going 6km/second.

As if km's meant a thing to us Muricans...

And the kicker is they get comms back from the ship - 7 million miles away - in 38 seconds "but it takes a few seconds to get the pics up" so still under a minute.

While we have zero cell reception 12 miles from town, and we probably never will.

Fact!!! LOL! And crystal-clear pictures of everything, while bank and convenience store cams all have pics like they took them 40 years ago - fuzzy and zero-resolution!

Bottom line is if you thought the NSA was bad@ss, NASA just hit a bullseye 7 million miles away.

Edit. NASA, not NAPA.
