Old Man with a Hat
I need to know if there is a 2-post car lift that gives walk under height 70+ inches and has an outside overall width of 124 inches or less. Has anyone experienced a similar narrow garage problem? What lift do you use and how well does it work? Imagine 80" wide 71 Fury in empty space with lift. Note I have a contractor coming next week to give me an estimate to enclose the carport and install garage doors at the front, 8 foot height on the doors.
Measurements
outside of garage wall to outside of front center post, 123.5 inches
height from concrete floor to bottom of rafters, 128 inches
length of carport front to back, 28 feet
1971 Fury, width, 80 inches.
opening between posts, right side carport, 110.25 inches
opening between posts, left side carport, 111.5 inches
Whip Industries car lift: 129.5 inches is narrowest overall width. Most are 138 inches. I might can go with 129.5", but overhead bar is adjustable width. Think it would be OK, but would rather have solid bar up top. 124" would not intrude on 2nd bay.
