Woodruff Carburetor Specialties, a vendor on this site does quality rebuilds and restorations of BBDs if you want to go that route.

Contemplated that route several times...but have a feeling, ultimately, ill end up going 4 barrel.

Hate to spend all that money and time, just to switch in a year or so. Kinda want to drive around some this summer.

What's wrong with the current carb? If contemplating a future 4bbl deal, start NOW to accumulate the parts for the linkage (throttle and kickdown, plus the related brackets. Then watch the sales websites for the intake manifold you desire, plus the sales at Summit for the carb you desire. When it all "aligns", then you have your next year's winter project!

Consider, too, that under about 3000rpm, those extra barrels are just "lookin' pretty". Which, on a typical 2bbl C-body, take from 75-90mph to get to on the highway.

Enjoy!

The bottom butterfly rod is leaking vaccuum on both sides. I'm moving in a couple weeks, so have to drive it to its new home, so can't do anything too crazy or expensive anytime soon.
