Changed my fuel pump

Every went without a hitch
Went with hughes push rod, (i do believe the worn-out one might have been original) and a Delphi fuel pump

Still narrowing down my issue with this gremlin. Still in the observation mode with each "fix" atm
 
I just ordered and received a Hughes hardened fuel pump rod. I'm curious to compare it to the length of the original when I take it apart.
 
Looks like quite a difference in length, maybe it's the pic, but looks like a 1/4"
 
It worn down about 3/8"

If you have access to a bore scope, be sure to check the drive lobe, usually when the shaft is worn that badly, there will also be significant wear on the lobe as well.

Have no bore scope.

Most likely due to lack of zinc additive from the previous owners
