Anyone need an official Chrysler stapler? Vintage Industrial Swingline #27 Black Stapler Property Of Chrysler - WORKS! | eBay
If it had been Exner's or Engel's personal stapler, it certainly would be something to add to the collection. Jeff
As a paper pushing fed, and Navy Supply Officer before that, I have learned that little tops the L.I.C. made, metal Swinglines in terms of durability and ease of use. Newer/modern staplers P-A-L-E in comparison. They had a lot of models over the years, but in terms of "mid-century-modern design," this is my favorite..… the Swingline 333, introduced in 1962. Looks unique, yet uses standard, widely available staples. I had one "bequeathed" to me from a retiring co-worker about 20 years ago, and have since picked up a couple more, there was even a woodgrain model...… I consider it the stapler equivalent of the Turbine car, or slab-sided C-body design......…(mine sits on the desk near my Turbine Car model.....).
When it comes to stapler design you guys, I think these are pretty hard to beat! The person I bought one of these from said to me " whatever happened to style, where did it go?" I think we can apply that to most everything these days.
