That round flex plate has 8 bolt holes, 440 steel cranks have 6 holes, I would say that fits a hemi or max wedge crank.

OK that makes sense . you just solved a four year mistery. I was given a 727 back then and the guy said that plate goes with it. I know he had a wedge . He must have
Unknowingly grabbed the wrong one.

That round flex plate has 8 bolt holes, 440 steel cranks have 6 holes, I would say that fits a hemi or max wedge crank.

Or industrial/Motrhome etc big block. Some of those has also 8 bolt pattern, but its differend from Hemi/Max pattern.
