As some of you might remember..... The first thing I did the morning we left for Carlisle... Was to lower the top and bust out the glass window in Jazebelle....

Things got a little wet a couple of times on the trip because of that but our spirit wasen't dampended

I got the new glass a couple weeks ago and decided I couldn't procrastinate any longer and started in on installing it yesterday. With the top off the rear of the body I decided this was the best time to remove and repaint the black accent on the chrome moldings... Thats todays job.... Hopefully all will be back together by the end of this weekend....

It's a good thing this is fun...... It's a good thing this is fun..... It's a good th...............

Well........ One thing lead to another, (cause & affect..... chain of events), and the project turned into a can of worms.
The old streched and sagging top did not want to go back right.... And when it did the contrast of the old top and the new window vinal section was just to far off..... SO ....
Jazebelle is sporting a new top now.......

You can bet i'll be checking the well area a little closer before laying the top back now.

I can not wait to see that car next month. There are a few cars I have on my list and I get to check that one off....

Oh man that looks incredible, Will!

Seeing Will's vert in person is just mind blowing......BETTER than rolling off the assembly line.

Seeing Will's car alone.....is worth going to Carlisle!!!

Thanks for your comments guys, I appreciate them.

And thanks Bob...... But i'm not paying for your gas to come to Carlisle again.

It's a work in progress, one thing always leads to another. I'll have the 3:23 sure grip installed in time for the turkey run. Then the disc brakes and steering..... And the HP exhaust manifolds and dual exhaust, next summer.

I had some help from a friend who does trim work. He got me started and headed in the right direction. I've installed several tops before but this one is not for the faint of heart.

Will, I don't remember exactly; did you also completely repaint the car by yourself or just partial; I remember some pics doing it in the outside but the result looks almost unbelievably good for this.

I did most of the prep work for the paint but a friend who has a paint booth sprayed it for me .... In trade for a 318 truck engine & trans which is in his 54 Dodge pickup now.
It looked good but had some orange peel and dust when sprayed. I had her professionaly color sanded, cut & buffed and that really made her stand out. She still needs to go in the shop for some touch up after reassembling and driving 8000 miles, (so far), It was my intention to build a driver.... not a show car.
