Cop wheels Backspacing or tire size for 68 Fury

Does anyone know what the Backspacing is for 15" Cop Wheels? And what maximum Rim/ Tire combination fits on the 68 Fury III? I am looking to probably put some different rims on in the near future because my cop wheels are not pretty anymore and I cant restore them in my Apartment. Anyone done 16" Wheels on their car?

well just had a police rim at my shop , so here is the numbers it's rim 7'' tire area , rim outside to outside 8'' from that edge to the lugnut pad inside the rim 4 1/4'' , call it a 1/4'' neg offset . on 15 x 8 rims my bud put 275/60 t/a's on his 66 300 . not sure of the off set on those .

You can do that with the tires still on them and the wheels on the car?


Edit: of course I have thought about that. All together, Cost more than buying a new rim.

Thank you for the info, that's something I can work with! 275??? That looks like it would rub on the leaf spring on mine.

I am not sure on the backspacing but the wheel wells will hold 295/50-15, no problem.
