In working on my car I noticed that the two vacuum lines need to be different size at each end.

The hoses I took off were 1/4" and fit one end properly. At the check valve and at the brake switch.

The other ends attach to the servo, one should be 3/8 and the other 5/16, the hoses that were on the car were stretched to fit. I find this odd.

Looking at both the parts book and the service book make no reference to this.

Does anyone have information on this, preferably and original system.

Thanks,

Alan

I know this is an old post, but yours was the only one I found that had raised my question I was looking for answers on.
Did you ever solve your hose issue?
What did you use?
Thanks.

Best I can tell the factory just forced the 1/4" line onto the larger fittings.
I put the end of the tubing in hot water for a minute and pushed it on.

I had to do the same, I put a drill through the hose end. I was worried it would split. Thanks.
