Can the dash be removed from a 66 Fury iii mine needs to be re painted.

Yes - the front windshield must be removed to access the screws that hold the front edge to the window opening.

Then loosen the two side bolts and remove the two braces under the dash and it pivots towards you.

Be sure to remove the front seat and steering column BEFORE you get those bolts loose! Plus getting all of the cables, wires, and such unhooked too! Also have a helper to help you walk it out of the car, plus "reverse to reinstall".

"While it's out . . ." you can re-seal the heater/ac box gaskets and replace any deteriorated foam seals around the defroster ducts.

It is. The info about unhooking everything else was tacet on my part - I figured that was common sense! I guess it still bears repeating though...

Careful on the windshield removal.
