Did any 62 Imperials have factory dual quads?

    Here is a picture from a 62 imperial engine. Guy selling the car states it is factory. I just have never seen a factory dual quad chrysler imperial. What do you all think? 121098786_10216020585981352_4475772569728501444_n.jpg

    I don't think that was a factory offering on the Imperial. Maybe a dealer installed option.

    Pretty sure the dual quad HP engine (413) was only available in the 300 series in the Chrysler/Imperial line

    That does look like a factory dual quad setup. As far as I know that setup was not offered as an option for the Imperial, so the short answer to your question is No. However, the dual quads were a bolt on dealer installed option, so some dealer might have installed it for the customer. It would probably have run like crap because the 340hp Imperial engine would have the milder cam. The engine in the photos above looks like it has been painted with the later blue paint as opposed to the turquoise. Suspect it might be a toy someone built for fun.
