Yesterday i took a ride in my Polara, and when i look at the instrument the one showing the charge/discharge was showing discharge, so i Went home. Today i put in a new alternator and relay. But the instrument shows discharge anyway. Then i give up, and Went online looking for an wire diagram, find it an was Printing it out, then the printer dident work ! Tomorrow its a new day, =)

After a study off the electric wires in the engine compartment i found a "home made" solution. The line from Alternator to instrument in dash board was cut before the bulkhead and connected separatly to instrument, and that line was broken somwere between alt and bulkh. A new line there and the Dodge is back......

How about some pics of your Polara?

The car's a beauty. Learned to drive in my Dads 67 Polara. Nothing like top down cruising. Thanks for posting pics.
Look at my other post then you can see pics of some work i done on this car.

I put new wires to alternator, better follow the inner fender whit i was thinking, than on the engine.

Nice! I did the same thing last fall when an exposed wire touched bare metal on the upper control arm and fried the fusible link. Nothing like losing all your power -- absolutely everything, while flying down the interstate with traffic...in the left lane. Scared the crap out of me.
