I ran across this from my collection (not for sale).

This has the Chrysler name and Pentastar on the left and labeled Dealer Identification unlike my original 67 card with the name and logo on the right with the CERTICARD label on the left. Also a roll of the special clear Dymo tape with the Pentastars on it.

So, how do you emboss the card itself???
They had a machine, about the time I got these one was for sale on eBay. The machine was about 50% bigger than a typewriter, at the time I didn't see it fitting in my literature collection.

I suspect the CertiCard, embossed with the original-purchasing dealer's information embossed on it, was inserted into the pocket at the assembly plant or possibly mailed to the dealer after production? Then the purchasing owner's name, or the second owner's name (if the warranty was transferred for a used car) was put on the card.

GM used an embossed metal card that was stapled into the back of the car's owner's manual. Owner information was put on it at time of sale, too.

Neat artifacts from a pre-computer era.
