Early october there was a Drag race event at the old american airbase in Bitburg.
Quiet a few cars turned up but only one C-Body. The area in the south west (Rheinland Pfalz) doesn't have many old Mopars or american cars in general. Even though a lot of US soldiers have been there.

I drove down from my area on saturday morning

Here is the Wagon which attended

In the evening I drove to Luxemburg, visiting a friend. On sunday I drove through the Hunsrück to Frankfurt. There was an American car Meeting. Weather was bad and we had lots of rain. The meeting was in an industrial area. Luckily they could arrang to open some halls/buildings so cars could stay in the dry at least a few of them

Is the European owner of that Pacer just as as embarrassed as an American owner would be to be seen in it?

There's an *** for every seat I suppose.

I like most of the Ramblers and even the Gremlin, but the Pacer I think rather not.

US cars maintained by meticulous mechanics in Germany. Perfect.

"Bitte, ein Bit!"...drank more than my share of this during my times in the former West Germany!
