I have a 73 Polara with 2"drum rear brakes, can i replace them with a 2 1/2" drum 2 1/2" pads? can i just swap them out or do i need to do more? I am a novice. thanks for the help

G'Day,
From Memory you'll Need the Backing Plates as Well, as these are Recessed to Allow for the Wider Shoes & Drums.
But this from an Old Geriatric's Memory.
Just Check to be Sure.
Kind Regards Tony.M

Unfortunately, it is NOT a quick fix -- backing plates for
11" x 2 1/2" are the Start of a conversion.
If you are not using the car as a taxi cab, your smartest move is to leave it the way it is..... truth be told....

A great idea is to replace the Front brake pads and Rear brake shoes with +++ N.O.S. +++ Asbestos +++ the softest, smoooooothest braking known to mankind....

Fortunately for you, I have some !!!! Don't buy this Chineseum garbage that the internet sites are forced to sell, due to current EPA rules and regulations.....

Yours, Craig.....
