Hi has anyone used the proform conversion kit , it seems to be a lot cheaper than the mopar one and i have heard from people that it is just as good, anyone here used it?

You can still scavenge the parts for the Mopar electronic upgrade from the wreckers. Might have to get the dizzy from the jobber, but wiring and electronic components can still be found. Early this year I did one for my Desoto...wiring and all the components for about $25.

But the complete mopar kit is still very reasonably priced.

The best part about the Mopar kit is the advance curve and total advance is pretty close for our cars. If you want drop in plug & play (almsost), is this is the one.

Regardless, the new option is new - if you piece it together with junkyard parts you don't know what you're getting. Could be a worn out distibutor, or a dead regulator, or a hairline cracked ballast, or even old cracked wires the ground out.........

I've been there before and that's why I just lean on Ma Mopar Performance for this item.
