So today I was cleaning my car and getting it ready for the show this saturday. I rolled down the back tailgate window and when I went to roll it back up, it wouldn't. I know the motor is fine because it still makes a noise when I push the switch down, but no luck when it goes back up. Any tips on cleaning the contacts or a switch that I can use to replace it?:BangHead:

So its not making a noise on the return trip up....?

On 71's the convertible top switch and tailgate window switches are the same. I'd start to look for a new one if you feel thats your problem. It couldnt hurt to have a spare anyway

Thanks!!! I actually got the switch out and cleaned up the connections and it works good but still wouldn't move the window up. So i took the window out and window cranks and the motor. The motor is completely horrible. So im ordering a new one tonight.
