Electrical Switch

So today I was cleaning my car and getting it ready for the show this saturday. I rolled down the back tailgate window and when I went to roll it back up, it wouldn't. I know the motor is fine because it still makes a noise when I push the switch down, but no luck when it goes back up. Any tips on cleaning the contacts or a switch that I can use to replace it?

So its not making a noise on the return trip up....?


On 71's the convertible top switch and tailgate window switches are the same. I'd start to look for a new one if you feel thats your problem. It couldnt hurt to have a spare anyway

Its definetly the problem. Ive checked everything else. I just don't know where to find one.

If you have a part number you can search partsvoice.com ... Otherwise ValleyVintage auto in Ohio... Brads NOS and Stephens performance are some choices You could also try National Moparts in Canada and of course Murray Park in Ohio

Thanks!!! I actually got the switch out and cleaned up the connections and it works good but still wouldn't move the window up. So i took the window out and window cranks and the motor. The motor is completely horrible. So im ordering a new one tonight.

Anyone know where I can get an American Bosch 12V window motor. MO721118A
