Engine Color?

Also posted in the Forward Look section. Just bought a '59 Imperial Sedan. Engine is fresh. Needs paint. After looking at well over a dozen pictures of engines, the air cleaner is gold. Valve covers are sometimes gold and sometimes black (I know they have the Imperial stickers). Engine sometimes looks black (could be grease) and sometimes silver. Anybody know the answer?

The engine block should be black with the air cleaner a gold color in 1959. I have seen some with gold rocker covers but i am not sure that is correct.

Thank you sir. Readily available paint color is a plus. Figured on powder coating the air cleaner & valve covers as I have the equipment.
