67 polara
This is a very rare car
unmarked Wisconsin patrol car
440 police interceptor model
Originally 440 with 3spd manual
3 on the tree
Still has the original 15" hemi wheels
Which are probably worth what im asking for car
Which were used on police models then
My dad bought this car in 1969 from
Wisconsin state surplus auction
I have the reciept from state
It has original fender tag
Has factory power front disc brakes
Certified speedo
In the 70s gas crunch my uncle persuaded my dad to trade the 440 for a 71 383 and auto trans
Still has the manual pedals in it
So it now has a 71 383 from a 71 charger
That was wrecked with about 30k miles
It runs and drives around yard
Would need tune and brakes to drive on road
Galen govier the mopar expert
Looked at it years ago and said hed never seen that combo 440 with 3 spd manual
He originally said they didnt build them
Till i showed it to him
Has original back seat
Leather front buckets are from 67 chrysler 300
Also console shifter from 68 charger
$2500
Clear title ready to go 1967 dodge polara police squad 440 interceptor

Seems to me that even if proven valid, this girl's history was not taken very seriously in her post service years and has morphed into basically just mutt guts wrapped in a 67 polara 4 door.

Imagine you,r a cop and chasing a few gangsters through the streets with your 440 magnum three on the tree.........:steering:

I don't think think there ever was a 440 3-spd. Column Shift cop car from the factory.
Like the 4spd NYB that was Very limited production.
sho me da vin

Saw some 383 with 3 speed in cop cars, never a 440 with a 3 speed. Utah was rumored to have a few with the 440 and a 4 speed.

Might be worth something if the factory, documented, engine was available. More likely a tall tale on a 383 3 speed police pursuit special.

Dave,

Interceptor? I was under the impression that was a Ford "only" term.

Please wax poetic :D

I stand corrected. Pursuit Special is the correct term. "Interceptor" was used in the previous posts.

Sorry to burst your precious bubbles but they did make 440 cop cars with 3 on the tree. Back when GG would talk to people without demanding money we discussed these cars at length.
