Those are. There was one at Telluride for several seasons, back in the late '70s and early '80s. You can find the van conversions around. The orange Ford would be a blast, I'd think! Although, I'd be much more inclined to run a gas engine in the wintertime like that, unless the tank had a heat source while parked and on the "road". Diesel fuel sucks when it gels up.
 
use #1 clear diesel = no gel. I run that all winter with no problems, you can also run tank heaters in less extreme conditions.. I would think the dodge van version would be a cold ride or have one hell of an aux heater, that's alot of area to keep warm.
 
this one beats the other one and almost 3/4 less in cost.

One of a kind 1971 vw snowmobuggy for sale. $3000. Has a 4.3 chevy engine with a turbo 350 transitions. Needs 1 tire replaced because it goes flat. Runs great and has alot of time stuck into it. Great for ice fishing or playing around in the snow.
