Hi all
my name is Robert and i Live in Sweden
my car is a Newport 1970 ´vert. i think quite unusuall since it have bucket seat
and some accessories too "power window , ac "

i bought the car a few years ago and due to work etc haven done much on it last time
the engine, tranny, interior is done and basically i just need to change one rear fender and put a paint on it ..
ill like to watch how the front fender are " and under it" so ill like to take them off
are they bolted or welded on place? i can see bolts but they ar not many. also as i can see they are bolted
from the inner fender
is that true?

also .. is it any more bolts? where are they located?

thanks for the help!
Robert

sorry. ill promise to dig some out of the hd..
will do that tomorrow "its 9 pm here"

Welcome to the site from the Motor City!
Fronts are bolted on and the rear quarter panels are welded in place.

This shows the 8 bolts that hold the fender on (both sides are the same)
The wheel liner has about 6 bolts into the fender, the fenders can be taken off with the liners in place.

thanks for the info and pics !
ill post a pic of the car tomorrow.
as i understand the -70 Newport ´vert is quite rare .. yes?

They made 1,124 of them.

Hi Robert, There is two tube braces on each side also. The two in the engine bay and one under the fender that connects from the fender to the firewall. That one is behind the wheel well. g

Here is a pic of my car,
these one is taken just after i bought it.
now the car is dismantled. the interior is done.
same to the motorn and tranny.
i just have to put a better right rear fender and paint it.
the car is intented to be a semi-custom.
metallic/flake cheery red, lambo hinges in the doors and at least 20 inch chromed wheels,
interior is stock "year one" in white
maybe ill try to paint the piping same colour as the car "if possible" rag will be white
