Fuel sending unit question

Hi guys-i have a rookie question about buying a new fuel sending unit for my 66 fury III.

There are 2 options available: a 3/8" and 5/16".

Do i simply measure my fuel line diameter to know which one to buy??

5/16 is a 95 percent probability.

I got one for sale, the larger size was used on 413, 5/16 was used with 383. Mine is a 5/16".

My engine is a 318--does that change anything?

No. Even my factory 383 car had a 5/16 fuel sending unit.

I do not think 3/8" was ever used from the factory even on the Hemi.

I got one for sale, the larger size was used on 413, 5/16 was used with 383. Mine is a 5/16".

I pulled off the sending unit from my 66 Fury (2-Dr HT, 383) and am having a horrendous time finding a replacement that resembles mine (see attached photo). Do any of you know if the one in your 66 Fury is the same as this or is it different and if so, did you replace it and from where?
