Good morning,
I wanted to let the group know about a great experience I had with Dan at Rebuilt Fuel Sending Unit Specialist

This company rebuilds fuel sending units. I own a '75 T&C and finding a replacement unit was proving near impossible. So I contacted Dan at Tri Starr Radiator and sent him my unit and one from a '75 Lincoln TC I'm working on as well. His prices aren't cheap, but worth it if you can't find a replacement. What I sent him was a rusty, crusty unit pulled from the wagon which had been setting for over 13 years, before I acquired it. Here's a pic of the returned unit. After a short 4 months of use, it stopped working again, so I pulled it to find that the float developed a tiny crack and had filled with fuel (ohms test of unit proved it was working properly). So I contacted Dan again and he is sending a replacement float, no charge and he states he warrants his work for 1 full year. His customer service is great and I'm recommending him to whomever may need this service!

This could qualify to be made sticky for as many times as it's brought up. Do you mind telling us what he charged you per unit?

This is good to hear. This company has been linked several times as a possible repair shop, but we've never heard if anyone has used them.

My units were pretty rusty/crusty from many years of sitting in nasty fuel. All said and done, including shipping, I had about $175 in each. It's his great customer service that prompted me to post. It's easy for a company to do the original work, but less common for them to stand behind their work, in the event of a problem. Dan backs up his work!

Same place I had the one for my Cordoba done. $179.00 plus the benefit of re-using the original that came with the car.

I know this is old but did the rebuild your rheostat or put a new one on it?

I say this because on some cars there is a curve to reflect the profile of the tank.
