Gas cap issue?

Finally got to do some driving and noticed that ibhave fuel leaking past gas cap. Is this an issue of vented cap? Do i need a non vented? It doesnt seal very tight and im guessing at 50 years old its a little worn. I have a new replacement tank installed and new filler neck grommet but original filler neck. Anyone know what the replacement should be before i order wrong ones online

A vented gas gap doesn’t mean it will leak. Look at your new tank and grommets for leaking. Put a plastic bag and rubber bands around the top of the cap and filler tube. Try to eliminate something before throwing parts at the wall.
