Pick your camper

Got a 1978 road king slide in that three of our Dodge Rams have hauled all over. It can be a blast

Ours is a sportsman model. 8' long. Load it and close the tailgate.

Sounds like fun!

The last one we had was 11'. I had to make up an extended receiver hitch to pull the boat. It was really high and really heavy, but had a bathroom, with 4 kids the potty was mandatory.

I have a 6 ft bed now on my crew cab. We have been looking but nada so far. It's just the 2 of us, so we don't need a lot of room. I want to pull a trailer with a car to car shows, so don't want an overhang.
I have been seeing some old cab chassis motor homes on Craigs that would make me dip into the savings though.

never saw reference to the A100 camper before. pretty wild.

Here's a unique ride I owned briefly about twenty years ago: 1969 Dodge Custom Sportsman, 318 auto. Set up to do remote radio broadcasts, before we had telescoping hydraulic masts. The title refers to the body style as "Sta-Wagon".

Seemed like every homeless vet from Viet Nam lived in one of those after they came home...
Only ⅛th as fancy, though.
