Heli-coil for alternator?

This is the second time i did this on two alternators, that i stripped out the threads for the upper adjusting bracket. I didn't cross thread it at all just loosened it up and went back to tighten it back up, it said F.U. I'm stripping these threads for just cause reasons... Would a heli-coil fix this?

Heli-coil is a great fix. Actually, done right, it's a better and stronger thread than the original threads.

If is the second time this happened on the same car, you might want to replace the bolt as the threads on it may be bad.

I will replace the bolt next time i visit my car. I've done a heli-coil once before over 15 years ago

finished heli-coiling both my alternators and installed back in all is well at this moment
