My name is Helmut (Heli) and I restored a 67 Fury Conv. during 4 years.
The car was a flintstone one when I purchased it (her) in late 2003.
Power steering, power brakes with the famous Budd 4 piston calipers, and
an ORIGINAL 440 (PM27L74.......), runs great.
About 75 squartefeet of sheet metal to weld in... a really hardcore resto, esp. outside the USA.

I will start the resto thread to show you the dreadfull conditions I started with.

Last year I made a 2 month trip from virginia to montana with an 70 Imperial Le Baron, but the car was in bad condition...(rust, no a/c....

My goal is to buy once more again this kind of car, I loved to drive with.

Whish you a nice day.

Heli

Welcome to the site from the Motor City!
Thanks for saving another!

commando1: you are right, never do this without AND try to align the whole car to the ground with at lest 6 jackstands, to.
the pics were taken before paint job. The doors were removed when I purchased the car.

Inside the rocker panel there is a MASSIC C-profile with about 4 inch high and 3/8" strong.

Welcome aboard. Nice job on the restoration! Amazing result. You could be our first Austrian member. Anyone know for sure? What part of Austria are you from? My mother and wife are from the Gmunden area and my Dad was from the Krems area.

There's a 300 Hurst owner from Vienna I think, but did not post recently. I happen to own a collector car sold new in Gmunden, pretty rotten like a rustbelt car and my mother happens to be born in a refugee camp not far from there.

I'm a bit further up north-west in the Rhine/Palatia area.

I miss being stationed in Southern Bavaria!!!! Loved going to the mountains... Zugspitze and Innsbruck. What an excellent drive!!!

My kids go to a wonderful school & I don't think the teachers need the kids to be medicated much. Medication is an unfortunate shortcut....
