@Davea Lux and I were p.m. talking about an aftermarket relay to replace our 40+-year-old OEM hidden headlight grill relays. This relay for Dodge Charger hidden headlights is on eBay. I took a look at topher’s feedback. It includes excellent feedback for the grill relay and is 100% positive.

At $25 the price is right. I’m going to convert my 1972 Fury to hidden headlight grill. If I can’t get a working Mopar relay, I may order one of these. I’m guessing:

Red wire to ignition on input power at the stud.

Black wire to ground

White wire, with resistor?, to headlight on/off power

Blue and Yellow wires to grill motor.

If anybody else needs one, and orders one immediately, I’d like to hear what your experience is. I’m still gathering parts and my front bumper needs re-chrome. It may be a month or 2 before I can test a relay out. Hope this helps somebody. Ben

I just got a Bosch relay and wired it up according to the diagram on it vs the factory wiring diagram. Works great for 20 years now.
