hood insulation

I got one for my 69 300 at Vans Auto salvage LLC. It was die cut with the mount holes punched and fit perfect.

They offer a bunch of hard to find stuff for mopars.

A check in the parts book shows Plymouth, Dodge & Chrysler use the same pad. (part #).

Here is a link to one.....

These are not like the factory, if you tried to fold up a factory on you would distroy it. The REM one is just like the factory and is molded/pressed to shape.

Did anyone visit their homepage? Says they make weatherstripping. Any chance they make em for 74-78 windows? :icon_scratch:

You obviously haven't been paying attention to probably the longest running complaint since FCBO was started.
NO...........

The number of potential buyers seems to have doubled. ;)

Oh ive been paying attention. Was just hopeful is all.

I thought you bought hood pads already...

I did buy the hood insulation pad.... we are currently talking about the door weatherstripping seals.

I want a hood pad for my 68 Newport. I just finished epoxy priming the hood. newport 033.jpgnewport 034.jpg

So i got one of the REM insulation pads, cost was about $129 + s&h. It fits perfectly, although it's a little thicker than the original so was a bit more of a deal to install than expected. It took two of us to put it in, and had to use a mallet to pound the clips in as they they kept bouncing out initially. Will post pics soon....

Guess the old one could have become a bit thinner from ageing and used to have the specs of the repro.
