How Long of Fusible Link is the right length??

Ok so I am getting ready to wire up the Alternator having added a 60amp unit.

I am going to bypass the amp gauge but need to know what the correct length is for the 10g wiring.

I've read a # of posts here but no one mentions the correct length.

I know the gauge should be 14g's

Any ideas?

5 1/2" to 6" long.

I had to make one up 2 yrs ago.... I'd say that one is about 5, 5 1/2 inches in length.
