Oh about.....
weight.jpg

Thought I might contribute this to the forum, as I never seen any weights posted for the 65-66 Fury.
This is my 65 with about 7/8 of a tank of gas.
RB block
Factory 4 speed
manual brakes and steering
Full bench seat interior

Things that make it lighter
Aluminum heads, intake, water pump housing, front wheels
Removed heater box
headers

Things that make it heavier
Dana 60
Sound deadener/Floor insulation

I half assed weighed it once with individual scales and came up with 3860 with a half tank
gas weighs about 6 lbs per gallon, so that weight is plausible.

Really not that heavy compared to later B bodies.

That doesn't surprise me. These a LONG cars hehe.

Yep, sounds about right. I had my 65 Sport Fury Vert weighed at the track and it was 3920 lbs. 440, ported iron heads, headers w/ full dual exhaust, automatic, 8 3/4 rear, no spare, no jack, no radio, no heater, no carpet insulation, aluminum intake & water pump, manual steering, manual disk brakes, steel wheels, about 1/2 tank of gas, stock bucket seats. I think that was everything.
It's difficult to reduce weight and retain the 65 factory look.
Good times...

Your car and Dana's car (Rush) were my early inspiration.
As soon as frame connectors are made, it's on.
Thanks for documenting your exploits.
