What does it look like, Jake? I have a friend who has a couple of pieces of some tapered axle stuff he hasn't sent to the dump yet.

OK, now I know what to ask. He ain't much on terminology but if I say "rear brake drums" to him...
If he says "beezel" instead of bezel one more time to me....

I m in the process of redoing the rear end, and the passenger side has been separated from the hub but the driver side is not. I am trying my best not to mess them up, but they are the factory drums with the factory shoes!! I have slowly been pulling the drum and hub off with atf/mineral spirits, but it is not going well, so just in case I do mess them up, I would love a second set.

Are you using a proper hub puller? Its the only way its going to happen.

Tighten it real hard, then take a heavy mallet and give it a good hard hit on the end and it will pop off, I dont think I have ever had one stay stuck, brute force and ignorance wins every time. :eek:s_dancing2:

Ive been beating it with a 3lb maul!!!! It will come off but Im in no hurry, I have found out when I rush things I tend to screw **** up, so I m in no hurry, I have all winter. Thanks.

Unless you're doing a full resto I would dump that rear for a newer 8 3/4 rear end,,parts are cheap,,I also remember reading that you might be able to swap out your axles for a set from a newer rear,,,

I have three (3) BRAND NEW ++ N.O.S. ++ 1963 - 1964 CHRYSLER 11" x 3" REAR HUB & DRUM ASSEMBLIES!!!!!
Is this what you are looking for? The '63 - '64 is the "old Keyway" design -- starting in 1965 they were just bolt on
like every other car........

Got the drum off and will try pressing the hub out this coming weekend. Im on vacation over Christmas so I hope to pull the rear end out. I am trying to pick up a 741 chunk with 323 suregrip from a guy in the area, he wants 375, Iam hoping to get him down alittle lower. We shall see how it goes.

Well, today I separated my drum from my hub and pressed in new studs, everything went way too smooth. I managed to save the drum but the studs that people recommended from the internet were a touch too small. I order .625 because factory was .622, next time I will go a little bigger. I ended up spot welding the back of the studs just to be on the safe side.
