I reconstructed the under the hood wiring tonight.

I used to do this professionally for close to 3 years back in the late 90's so it came pretty easy for me.

It is still in spaghetti mode near the firewall bock.

I am bypassing the amp gauge but will need to run a power wire into the car to feed my interior electrical needs

Good job! However...

It would look super nice with factory spark plug wires or MSD wires. There something about yellow Accel wires that just doesn't look good IMHO.

looks like your getting close to driving it again, nice work

I'm getting closer!

Although I think I need a bit of a break. ..
I was dreaming most of the night that I was wiring the car all night long. ..:(

I just reviewing the wiring schematics so far today.
The routing can be a bit confusing.

You know what sucks?
The wiring diagram for my '67 consists of two pages.
The wiring diagram for my '76 requires it's own manual the size of the NYC phone directory...

You should see the diagrams for newer cars, Motor is putting everything on dvd's now and a laptop at the shop is a must

I got out of the trade back in 91. I have experienced the phone book schematics.
My lower back couldn't handle carrying the book around the shop! LOL!! :D

When I bought the Vette, I of course bought the book.
4(!) volumes,

And I couldn't understand one word of it.
I sold it.

You sold the books with the vette or you still have the vette? From reading a lot of the posts I am quite sure if you needed to figure something out with the books you could have, your a sharp guy

After getting it, I leafed through the whole thing for a while.
Like I said, I couldn't understand one word of it.
The final straw was when I burned out a DRL. After looking at it for a while, I couldn't figure how and I had to refer to the book.
My first feeling was that this is really bad if I have to use a book to figure out how to change a damn bulb.
For WIW, it said to remove the front fender...........
Back to the dealer.

Second item. Erratic reading for windshield washer solvent tank reading.
Back to the book.
Had to do with an algorithm used by the main computer based on consumption. No sensor.
Back to the dealer.

Screw this. Sell the books.

Then I sold the car after 10 months.

One last juicy tidbit.
Faulty fuel readings.
Book: Drop the entire rear suspension.
Back to the dealer.

Sell the books. I'll never be able to use them.

PLEASE ditch the red heater hoses...otherwise beautiful work.

When I am ready to change my harness I'll be sending you a message.... I always say that everything is just nuts and bolts, but wires scare me.....

Sure thing..

For this electrical harness, it is a very simple system.
Simpler than it should be..
:imho:

The schematics will have little to do with routing.

I thought it was interesting that the right headlights on the C-Body go across the firewall then up to the headlights unlike the A B E bodies that go up the left inner fender and then across the core support.
