I don't know why I'm even asking because I'm pretty certain I ruined a brand new brake drum . I was pressing in my studs and I had no problem with the first 1 I really F up the second one I chips out around 3 studs and there is a hair line crack that I can feel around one stud.

Congrats on your new door stop.

Sorry to hear that, bro.

I agree, If there are hairline cracks in the drum, it's pretty much a doorstop now. The weekest part of the drum is between the bolt holes. If it's cracked, pretty soon it will go from hole to hole.

The only good thing from this is I was going to use my original brake drum, because it was in such good shape. So I dropped the old one off to be turned. Only out 10 dollars and my time. Time really doesn't count when you're working on these old cars does it?

There's a huge learning curve when working on old Mopars.

I'm definitely getting schooled. I have a matching pair of door stops.
