I fully understand the reasons for your choice of colors. Your original car matches my first 1970 Chrysler 300 that I bought used back in 1972 from Birmingham, MI Chrysler dealer with 29K miles on it at the time when I was working at Chrysler in Highland Park, MI. To this day it still appeals greatly to me (my avatar car). Yours is the only other 69 or 70 300 I have ever seen built with those colors.

We talked on the phone a number of years ago about your plans and it is great to see you are getting the end goal dream well on its way.

Looks like you are doing a real labor of love. Keep up the good work.

Thanks, your car is beautiful, as I was looking at color changes, I did reference yours as to what my "original" car would look like...

Update:
Got the bumpers back from the plater!
I did not opt for the "show chrome"..$$$.
But the standard, and they turned out very nice. Flint Bumper.

Been following this thread. Your 300 is going to look great when completed, and those bumpers on the freshly painted body will really stand out! Thinking the money you saved in lieu of spending it on the additional cost for the show chrome will get you closer to finishing up your restoration.
There will be other costs that'll come up before you have everything back together that you can, or will need too throw money at IMO.

Ok, been a while, but here is progress...
Primed, and first pass with color. Will wet sand any imperfections...lay another coat of color, then clear.

WOW that color pops!!!! What color is it? My wife says if she had her choice she’d like our car to be more of a candy apple red. That’s an amazing color! If you don’t mind me asking how much do you think my rear bumper would be to have rechromed based on your cost? I just got my carpet installed and believe it or not took it out for our first “real” ride... to Dunkin Donuts and back! Lol! Only real issue I had was how the carpet “fell” over the front seat retractable seatbelt mechanisms. Anyway, I’m on to replacing the headlights with the Putco/Hella lights and harness so I can safely take the sled out at night. Hope you are well and congrats on the exciting/amazing job you are doing! TTYS!!

Thanks! The color is R-6, Crimson. 1969 available color for Chrysler. Deeper red, more than bright fire engine red. I paid $800 for the rear bumper re chrome. Flint bumper, in Michigan. It is NOT show chrome, but very very nice standard chrome. I shopped around and $800 was pretty much the going rate

Ok, been a while, but work is progressing....slower than I had hoped, but many factors...anyway here's the latest. Body painted, cut and first polish. Looking to bring it home after the 1st, install engine, and start assembly as my painter finishes the rest of the panels..

Once the body/paint shop is done color sanding and buffing and finishing up any other panels, the car will go back to your garage and you will finish up all the mechanical work pretty much yourself then - or would you farm out other parts of the project such as transmission rebuild (if intended), etc or said another way, would other shops be involved as well?

Project is looking very good and the convertible above is an inspiration as well......just beautiful!

Keep up the good work

I will pretty much do the assembly myself. Engine is rebuilt, and tranny just had new seals installed. Here is the latest. .
When it left home last year, and when it arrived home today. The one picture where it is being loaded has a shadow cast on the rear, my painter said "what it would look like with a bumblebee stripe"...hmmm. .

Latest accomplishment...trunk lid on, bumper on. Rear of the car essentially finished. Moving to interior and front next.
